How To Start With Bar Brothers And Calisthenics Workout
Finally. You made it.
This might sound corny, but I’ve been waiting for you.
Let me guess, you have seen some videos on youtube and thought: “Holy !@#$, I want to do that too!”
Tried some moves and discovered that you still have a long way to go, right?
You have tried different types of ‘promising’ workouts.
Still, you feel like you are not really getting the results you want, even though you are really willing to work for it.
You try to push yourself more than others do.
You are the kind of person that always feels like there is more.
You train and train, waiting for results, and then…
No weightloss, no muscle gains. No friends to train with, helping you that extra mile…
You go through the motion, not fulfilling your true potential.
Not because you can’t, but because you don’t know how.
Until you give up and finally become the I-will-start-tomorrow-person who never starts.
You just keep procrastinating until you find yourself looking at a mirror one day…wondering what happened.
And it pisses me off.
The internet is overflowing with all types of fitness shortcuts.
Chemical supplements to boost your strength by 100%.
And even things which are outright hilarious and ridiculous, like ab machines that promise you six packs by electrocuting you.
Getting you nowhere.
And leaving you with an empty wallet, looking for more quick fixes that never work.
And you are slowly learning that fact.
While there you are.
Motivated, willing to push through, deep within you there is the desire to be that person who can inspire others but nobody sees it in you.
You don’t even see it in yourself.
After years of training in the gym, eating ‘healthy’ and finally finding myself in an unbalanced and unhealthy condition while seeing others make the same mistake, I’ve finally decided to do something about it.
I want to teach you everything I know about having a healthy mind and body.
By the time we’re done, you will not be that guy downloading tons of diets and ebooks, buying Tell-Sell-like products, squeaking and praying for one of them to finally work.
You’ll be a true Bar Brother BEAST.
Armored with body weight routines and motivated to the teeth.
I’ll help you, train you, motivate you, but I will not be a walk in the park.
We need effort and most of all, we need time.

In a land far from here two brothers decided to challenge their limits.
Perfecting what has been done for thousands and thousands of years by your ancestors.
By the Greeks, by the Romans, the Spartans and other ancient warriors.
These warriors used the only instrument you will ever need.
Ripped to the teeth, powerful and agile enough to withstand any opponent.
How did they become so strong and fit?
Let me give you a hint…our ancestors did not have any fancy equipment or dumbells.
Their only equipment was their body
The flesh, bones and muscles to train…
And two brothers became the modern day warriors, known as Dusan and Lazar.
They mastered the training done by the ancient warlords and instead of calling themselves, ‘The Greeks’ or ‘The Spartans’, they called themselves the ‘Bar Brothers’.
And they are the reason why you are reading this.
Why We Started Bar Brothers Groningen
And here is where my story starts.
I’m not some ancient warlord as you can see.
Not even a modern warlord, just an ordinary guy who got inspired by the Bar Brothers to become more than he was.
Doing my first muscle up after at least a month of grueling training.
I had spend at least 3 years wasting time on weights in the gym prior to that, so you might call me a hard case newbie.
If you are too, I know where you are coming from.
I know how much work it takes.
But I didn’t care, I just kept going, because I had a clear goal.
And I have to admit, doing my first muscle up felt pretty damn good.
A few months earlier I had met Jonathan in the gym and we were talking about some guys we saw doing crazy body weight stuff.
We challenged each other -left the gym- and sure enough before we knew it, we had a group.
We trained while being injured, we trained in the rain, we trained in the sun, we trained whenever we could train until we could train no more, because we all had a goal…
We wanted to master the training done by ancient warriors.
Inspired and fired up we decided to join the Bar Brother Movement.
After asking the official Bar Brothers for approval, we became known as… Bar Brothers Groningen.
But enough about us.
